Three engagement models cover most Delhi residential architect contracts: percentage-of-cost (the most common), flat fee (small or known-scope projects) and stage-wise (phase-by-phase). The calculator gives a fee range for each, against 2026 Delhi market rates.

The architect’s fee is 4–8% of project cost. The decisions an architect makes affect 60–70% of it. The decision that protects both sides is the scope schedule attached to the fee letter, not the percentage itself.
